چکیده

Remote laser-welding systems are being used more frequently because of their larger working areas, shorter downtimes and ability to weld different seam types with high accuracy at greater speeds in comparison conventional welding. Therefore, precise process-monitoring methods needed order achieve traceability good process quality control accompany welding situations. This paper proposes the use optical triangulation feedback on a remote system that makes it possible monitor area. configuration means we can interaction zone itself, analyze 3D position laser beam key estimators as result AISI steel plates were welded lap show stable partial penetration be achieved. Closed Loop Control of Penetration Depth during CO2 Laser Lap Welding Processes

In this paper we describe a novel spectroscopic closed loop control system capable of stabilizing the penetration depth during laser welding processes by controlling the laser power. Our novel approach is to analyze the optical emission from the laser generated plasma plume above the keyhole, to calculate its electron temperature as a process-monitoring signal. Laser power has been controlled b...

Effect of welding parameters on penetration depth in FB-TIG welding of 5083 aluminum alloy

In the present study, effect of current, welding speed and preheat temperature during FB-TIG welding of AA5083 aluminum alloy was studied. Using the Taguchi method, 9 different tests were designed to investigate the effect of welding parameters on the penetration depth. Consistent with predictions, increasing the current and preheat temperature, and reducing the welding speed led to an increase...

Automatic Teaching of a Robotic Remote Laser 3d Processing System Based on Laser-triangulation Profilometry

Original scientific paper One of the key challenges in robotic remote laser 3D processing (RL3DP) is to achieve high accuracy for the laser’s working trajectory relative to the features of the workpiece. This paper presents a novel RL3DP system with an automatic 3D teaching functionality for a precise and rapid determination of the working trajectory which comprises a robot manipulator, 3D scan...

Closed-loop power and focus control of laser welding for full-penetration monitoring.

We describe a closed-loop control system ensuring full penetration in welding by controlling the focus position and power of a 4-kW Nd:YAG laser. A focus position monitoring system was developed based on the chromatic aberration of the focusing optics. With the laser power control system we can determine the degree of penetration by analyzing the keyhole image intensity profile. We demonstrate ...
